Raymond Afrifah-Yamoah (ACII-UK, MBA, BSc.)

Mr. Raymond Afrifah-Yamoah is a non-Executive Director of Allstar Insurance Brokers Limited.

Raymond is a Chartered Insurer by profession. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) UK. He holds a BSc degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is also a graduate of the Paris Graduate School of Management with an MBA in Banking and Finance. From the City University, London, UK. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science.

Mr. Afrifah-Yamoah started his insurance career with the then State Insurance Corporation (SIC) in 1986 as Fire Underwriter and Surveyor and rose to become the General Manager, Operations in 2002. With the introduction of the Insurance Act of 2006, which made it obligatory for composite insurance companies to decouple their operations into Life and non-LIFE lines, he led an in-house team to successfully set up SIC Life Company in 2007 and became the Company’s first Managing Director. He left SIC Life in 2007 for Quality Life Assurance (QLAC) where he served as the Company’s CEO/MD until his retirement in 2018.

Raymond has attended several courses/workshops on Insurance Management, Actuarial Science; Reinsurance and Risk Management across the globe including USA, Australia, South Africa and the UK. He has served on several Boards such as Twifo Oil Palm Plantation (TOPP), SIC Financial Services Ltd, SIC life Company Limited  and Quality Life Assurance Company Ltd.

He is a thoroughbred in all aspects of insurance business.  He brings his wealth of experience and expertise in insurance and risk management to bear on the operations of Allstar.
