Ama Anowa Thompson

Ama Anowa Thompson, MBA, CA, is the head of the accounts unit of Allstar Insurance Brokers Ltd.  Her role involves managing all aspects of the company’s financials including but not limited to payroll, accounting, financial analysis & reporting and financial management. She is also the acting head of the human resource unit.

She has over 11 years working experience in business administration, accounting and finance. She started her career as an Administrator and later became the Accountant of Westfield International School.  She joined SC Johnson Ghana working on the ‘Bottom of the pyramid project’ as the Enterprise Development Specialist – Finance for a period of six years. She ventured into the Banking Industry and worked as an Accountant at Nkosuo Microfinance Limited for two years and then took time off to earn her professional certification in accounting. She later joined Allstar Insurance Brokers Ltd in the year 2020 and is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Insurance at the Ghana Insurance College.

She had her first degree from the University of Cape Coast majoring in accounting. Ama holds an MBA Finance degree from the University of Ghana Business School. She is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
